Job Title: Technical Support Manager
Reporting to: Service Manager
We are searching for a Global Technical Support Manager, critical to taking Services to the next level.
By outlining the overall direction of how to effectively develop and proactively apply technical expertise regarding products and services and to optimise processes, systems and tools, this role will be key to maintain and improve the organization’s customer relationships and to accelerate growth of the Service business.
An integral part of the Weir Group (2,3 Billion GBP (2017) is Weir Gabbioneta™ (WG), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of centrifugal pumps and services for the energy sector and related industries, producing single stage and multistage centrifugal pumps. WG is part of the Flow control division, who design and manufacture critically important valves, pumps and turbines as well as providing specialist support services to global power markets helping to meet the energy demands of the world’s growing population. SUMMARY ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Service Manager your role is to deliver on the agreed strategic intent and targets for your department.

- Capture – Identify and capture opportunities of installed base and effectively execute customer projects.
- Customer – Acquire deep analytical understanding of customer and product performance.
- Capability – Apply industry knowledge, product expertise and strategic and operational insight into key processes, systems and tools including an increase in maturity levels of selected Service focus areas.
- Collaboration – Drive high levels of collaboration with customers, between stakeholders, across functional teams, with peers and employees.
